Project members Dr. Manuel Pérez-Quiñones, Dr. Steve Edwards, Dr. Edward Fox, Dr. Lillian Cassel and Manas Tungare will be conducting a workshop-tutorial on Using Web 2.0 Technologies in your Computer Science Classes. October 14, 2007. Our work will be presented by Dr. Manuel Pérez-Quiñones at the annual Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference. If you will be attending, stop by!October 14, 2007. We will be presenting a poster about our Syllabus work at the upcoming National NSDL meeting.August 15, 2007. We have harvested close to 8000 syllabus documents from the WWW. Some of these documents have been analyzed and structured metadata has been extracted and stored in our repository. If a document that appears in your search results has associated automatically-extracted metadata, a link like this: Extracted will appear next to it in the search results. You will soon also be able to edit the metadata to correct the inevitable inaccuracies that cannot be detected automatically.15 September, 2006. The Syllabus Search Engine is now live!20 June, 2006. We will be presenting our paper, Towards a Standardized Representation of Syllabi to Facilitate Sharing and Personalization of Digital Library Content, at the 4th International Workshop on Applications of Semantic Web Technologies for E-Learning (SW-EL). |
